How do I play my music from my ipod through my radio?

I have the ipod nano, and i cant figure out how to connect it to play music through my car radio. I have a connector that hooks in through the cigerette lighter, but when i connect it, it doesnt do anything. I have also tried to Change the radio station and that doesnt work. Please help!

Buy yourself an FM Modulator. They cost about $30 at wal-mart. Plug it into your lighter (I’m assuming your lighter actually works). Plug a cord with mini-headphone jacks on each end into the headphone output of your ipod. Plug the other end into the headphone input on the modulator. Select the station to broadcast to on the modulator. Tune your car stereo to the same station. If that doesn’t work… dunno what to tell ya.
